Michael Richards Video
|
Michael Richards exploded in anger as he performed at a famous L.A. comedy club last Friday, hurling racial epithets that left the crowd gasping, and TMZ has obtained exclusive video of the ugly incident.
Michael Anthony Richards (born July 24, 1949) is an American actor, three-time Emmy Award winner, writer, producer, and comedian, Master Freemason best known for playing Cosmo Kramer on the television show Seinfeld, which ran from July 5, 1989, to May 14, 1998, on NBC.
On November 17, 2006, Richards performed at the Laugh Factory in West Hollywood, California and engaged in a shouting match with members of the audience, during which he made racist statements. Richards later said that a Black man heckled him from the audience, and he "took it badly." [11] [12] Richards lashed out, "Fifty years ago we'd have you upside-down with a fucking fork up your ass," in a reference to lynching.[12][13][14] He then repeatedly yelled, "He's a nigger!" The heckler responded with repeated exclamations of "That was uncalled for!" before calling Richards a "fucking cracker-ass motherfucker", "fucking white boy", and "It's not funny. That's why you're a reject, never had no shows, never had no movies. `Seinfeld,' that's it." [15] The incident ended with Richards walking off the stage, leaving an employee from the Laugh Factory to apologize afterward.[16][17]
Richards performed at the Laugh Factory the following night without mentioning the incident, but the venue has since stated that Richards is no longer welcome.
